“I definitely wanted a platform to talk about ‘sex-positive’ and other issues to show people who I really am,” Rose said of the show. She is also using it as a platform to address slut-shaming comments she’s received throughout her career.
“I deal with talk like that every day,” she continued. “I recently dealt with that when my ex [West] said he had to take 30 showers after he’d been with me. We were happy when we were together and now I’m getting slut-shamed because we’re not anymore … and it’s unfair. I’m sick of it and I’m here for my girls.”
Rose caught the eye of Dr. Phil after a promotional segment for her SlutWalk aired on The Doctors. “The producers loved me and told me I needed my own show,” Rose said. “Dr. Phil was blown away by the pilot and he and his team have been helping me get my chops up . . . I’m being schooled by the best in the business.”
The new premiere date gives Muva Rose plenty more time to iron out show details.
“We’ll have in-studio guests, and I’ll go out on the street to get opinions from people on topics like how long before you should have sex with a guy, how long before you let him meet your kids,” she revealed.
“We are not going there,” she said. “Let’s face it. The only reason these girls have a career is because their older sister had a little fun on tape.” Rose also addressed her previous beef with Khloe following Kylie’s relationship with Tyga. “I don’t hate [Khloé]. Being a dancer and dealing with older men gave me the humility and knowledge to speak on such a subject.”
