“I do not say that!”
It didn’t take long for the gloves to come off as Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton went head to head at Hofstra University Monday night in the first presidential debate of 2016. Two polls on who won Monday night’s debate show very different results:
- The Drudge Report’s poll gives Republican nominee Donald Trump an 80-percent to 20 percent edge over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
- Meanwhile, a CNN/ORC poll has 62-percent of respondents saying Clinton won the debate compared to just 27 percent for Trump.
On the contrary, despite the fact that Trump interrupted both moderator Leslie Holt and his opponent Clinton almost 30 times, multiple media outlets called out the Donald for back-tracking and reneging several past statements. From his views on the war in Iraq, to global warming, these two topics are only a few of many past statements he’s publicly went against himself on.
