Fans know the friction between Lil Wayne and Birdman has put off the much anticipated release of Tha Carter V.
It seems that there’s been a truce of sorts. During a recent interview, Baby gave fans an unexpected glimmer of hope.
“It’s definitely coming out,” the Cash Money boss told Scott after being asked about the status of Tha Carter V. “The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward,” he said. “Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing.”
Still remains to be seen how Weezy and Birdman will resolve the financial disputes that have surrounded the unreleased but long since completed album.
Back in November, Birdman abrubtly called off negotiations with Weezy, and it seemed like their beef would never be settled.
Wayne has also recently indicated that he’d be releasing three new projects in the coming months, and one of them is supposed to be Tha Carter V.
Maybe Birdman and Weezy have worked things out after all.
