The Indianapolis Museum of Art has your summer fun during it’s 42nd season of Summer Nights film series.

From the IMA Amphitheater, patrons can enjoy five Saturday films to go along with its traditional Friday night screenings, for a total of 16 films, ranging from classics to pop-culture phenomena.


• Friday, June 2: “Footloose” (1984)

• Friday, June 9: “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” (1994)

• Saturday, June 10: “The Jungle Book” (1967)

• Friday, June 16: “Dial M for Murder” (1954) – in 2D

• Saturday, June 17: “Batman Returns” (1992) – one day after the movie’s 25th anniversary

• Friday, June 23: “The Fast and the Furious” (2001)

Doors open at 7 p.m., with the movie beginning at dusk. In the case of bad weather, the movie will shift to The Toby Tobias Theater and start at 9 p.m.

Pre-show entertainment includes trivia, live music and costume contests.
