Lenny Kravitz is among the performers tapped to honor Prince at the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

According to EWThe Rock Hall will honor the late music icon who was already inducted into the hall in 2004. Along with Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Mary Chapin Carpenter and the Indigo Girls will also perform in the tribute to Prince.

Kravitz wrote an emotional tribute to the late guitarist for Rolling Stone magazine. The “Fly Away” singer cited Prince has a creative inspiration for him.

He was a loving guy. If he liked you, he really liked you and treated you beautifully,” writes Kravitz of his beloved friend. “[His death] knocked me really out. I still haven’t really recovered. Not to be dramatic or overly sensitive, but I really feel like a piece of me died… He was a mentor and then someone I got to know as a friend and play with. So when he left, a part of me really went too.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is being taped for broadcast on HBO on April 29 at 8 p.m. ET. An exhibit saluting the 2017 inductees is scheduled to open on March 31 at the Rock Hall in Cleveland.
