Mike Epps landed in hot water after bringing a kangaroo on stage during a show… yes, a kangaroo.

The comedian and actor has been receiving backlash after what occured at his Detroit show last Friday. Epps invited zoo owner and exotic animal handler Javon Stacks on stage who brought a kangaroo.
(Not sure why you would have a kangaroo with you outside of a zoo, but that’s another story)

The video in question showed the comedian and the handler with the kangaroo, which is held upright. Epps tugs on the kangaroo’s harness before the animal appears to throw his paw back toward the star.

Over the weekend, the video of the incident went viral on social media with some accusing Epps of animal cruelty.

On Sunday, Epps posted an apology on his Instagram account, stating he doesn’t “own the kangaroo and did not mean any harm to the animal it got outta hand.”
