Eddie’s Murphy older brother and famed comedian/actor Charlie Murphy has reportedly died from leukemia according to TMZ.
TMZ reports that Charlie died in a NYC hospital and had been going through chemo to treat his leukemia.
Charlie was 57 years old and will forever be remember for famously co-starring on “Chappelle Show” in some of Dave’s most memorable skits. Not to mention, he toured with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez and D.L. Hughley and also co-wrote some of Eddie Murphy’s movies. He co-starred in “Are We There Yet,” “The Boondocks” and “Black Jesus.”
Murphy’s late wife Tisha Taylor Murphy, died back in 2009 after a long battle with cancer.
