The A&E channel readies to air a new documentary on the life of legendary icon, The Notorious B.I.G. in Biggie: The Life of the Notorious B.I.G. on Sept. 4.

The documentary is part of the network’s “Biography” series, and in a recently released trailer, both JAY-Z and Nas make an appearance in the documentary offering their take on the impact and legacy of Biggie, as well as reciting his lyrics. See the preview below.

The Life of Notorious B.I.G. is a two-hour, deeply personal “Biography” documentary that will trace the life, death and legacy of the late Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie) as told by those who loved him most, including his widow Faith Evans, his mother Voletta Wallace, his close friend Lil Cease, the members of Junior Mafia, and some of the biggest superstars in hip-hop.

The network is also working on documentaries highlighting the life of Tupac—his six-part docu-series, Who Killed Tupac? will air later in the fall. Upcoming documentaries will also feature Kanye West, Chance The Rapper, and Grandmaster Flash.
