DMX is still fighting and admits he needs more work as the rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, will voluntarily check himself into rehab after testing positive for cocaine and marijuana several time while under house arrest.
The New York Daily News reported yesterday, a Manhattan Federal Judge had lifted the travel ban so the veteran rapper can go to rehab. This after he gave approval for X to travel to Atlanta for work as long as he’s with a sober coach at all times. Unfortunately, DMX’s Atlanta job didn’t happen so he’s decided to enter an inpatient substance-abuse program, according to his lawyer, Murray Richman.
This isn’t the first stint in rehab. Back in April, the former Ruff Ryders rapper checked into a treatment center at the urgency of X manager’s Pat Gallo.
We wish you well DMX.
