After the horrific events at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas last night (Oct. 1), music stars are expressing their shock and condolences.

The mass shooting is now the largest in modern U.S. history, leaving at least 58 people dead and injuring at least 500 more.  It’s the largest mass shooting since the deadly club shooting at Orlando last year that killed 49 people. Country singer Jason Aldean had been performing for about 20 minutes when gunfire erupted. He was uninjured, and said his “heart hurts” a few hours after the shooting.

One suspect was reported down, a white male, Stephen Paddock, 64. The shooter was believed to have been firing down at concert-goers from the 32nd floor.

The Route 91 Harvest Festival is “three days of country music on the Vegas Strip.”  Sunday night’s performance was the last of the sold out festival. After hearing the news, several stars went on social media to offer their prayers, including John Legend, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz and Mariah Carey. See their reactions and other stars below.
